Cheap And Nasty

If there is one thing I learnt today, it is this.

It is best to go straight to the supplier, to get the exact brand of whatever that is that you want.

I should have known this ever since I first own any whatchamacallit electrical stuffs, or even my past Mini by the name of SYCLONE.

If you need to repair your Sony Walkman tape player, go to Sony.

If you need repairs on an LG fridge, call LG.

If you need to find fair-price Sime tyres, go to Sime Tyres.

And exactly, I went there today. The one at Jalan Gombak, from Setapak towards Lee Rubber ex-factory site.

I got a pair of tyres for 145 each. That means 290 burnt.

Better still, than being charged 165 the last time I replaced them. Probably the extra 20 per tyre is for the short-distance shipping, or petrol fee, or whatever that I wouldn't really want to hear.

Even better, they can repair His Majesty STELLAR's bent rims. At 40rm.

I was quoted 80 at a shop nearby my office.

Yes, it pays to research. And it pays to head back to the actual manufacturer.

And, prioritize. Repair the actual reason of damage first before repairing the secondary damaged. Like, replacing the ball joints first before the tyres. But that's another story.

Unlucky Cement Mound

Stell's rim are bent.

His left front wheel hits a fist-sized cement dropping on the road.

I wish the perpetrator dead.

Well, I am partly at fault. I was busy adjusting my seat belt and didn't see it coming. And it was a dark section, with the lights conveniently absent, probably from lack of power provider funds.

Now the air is escaping. No wonder after a few minutes of driving, the steering feels terribly heavy, and weans leftfield.

And pay haven't reached my bank account yet.

Bummer!

I still wish the cement truck or its driver an uneventful death. Any will do.

Nearly Lost My Life

While getting out of the naval base, I was handed another person's IC.

It struck me like my running brother's head against my nose, Raya several years ago.

Hard.

I did wait, like an hour, at the gate, hoping that maybe he will re-enter.

I hope at least, he will check his IC.

Nope. Somebody else checked it for him.

Yea it's not his fault, not much other than not really checking.

Luckily, this guy Azizi, who received my IC, entered TUDM.

And it's TUDM the got hold of my IC. Yes, they checked, contrary to the TLDM gatekeepers.

It's a good 12-hour ordeal.

My colleague, an ex-military officer, told me that I can sue the TLDM gatekeeper. But then I will never be allowed into any base again. I see no point doing it anyway too.

I will keep the police report I made anyway. Just in case.

Deep Sleep

At first I didn't believe in it.

I only need an hour, and then some, of deep sleep.

And then I can spring up and start over again.

It is evident now, after the 17 hours of works at Navy finished at 10 this morning.

Yes I had no night's sleep.

And a sleep session near to noon in the car is all I need.

I can drive another 450km after just that sleep.

So guys, all you need is a short but deep enough sleep. Never ignore the signs that you need one.

Fuel Up

The race slows down.

The fuel is up. Almost 45 percent increase.

I am so considering an NGV tank.

I am only one step away from it. My air box needs a changeover first.

Lucky my mechanic has relieved some heavy stuffs of STELLAR, so the engine feels lighter now.
