Tired Of Langkawi

It's tiring, all these vacationing.

I wish not to tour so frequently anymore.

And my lower back hurts too, from all the bag carrying.

Nice experience though.

To Go Pro?

Did several wedding photography for my wife's friends and neighbors over the weekends.

I sometimes think, do I want to do this professionally?

I know I won't quit my day job, but I will have to sacrifice my weekends for the photo-shoots.

Money seems not enough anymore. Or was it my mindset?

Will submit my attempts at doing wedding photos to my friend Engku soon, for him to evaluate and decide if I am good enough to join his team.

Sift Thru The Worsening Remains

Breaking News!

His clutch fails again today, together with a little extra. It refuses to accelerate, and the refusal increases.

I suspect the clutch was actually failing this time, and no more the master cylinder's fault.

And there's this refusal to accelerate, which aggravates the fault.

Lucky I didn't brace it to Seremban, the original idea being to repair it there.

I guess the instinct is strong that he will not be able to make it there, and boy I am right all along.

My poor Mini is now in the custody of Haji Yahaya in Kota Damansara, who will help me check the clutch out as well as the suspected ignition fault.

Sift Thru The Remains II

If there is a anything I learnt from STELLAR's clutch failure, it's some kind of racing gearchange.

It's nothing new. His clutch fails two times prior to the one that happens last Monday. Only thing is, last Monday's failure was the worst. Suffice to say that everytime i need to stop, the engine needs to stop too. And i did shut it down umptenth times that day.

So when I tried to send it for repairs last night, come pay day, I learnt the somewhat tricky art of clutchless gearchange.

It's not so tricky, apart from first gear, which you need to shift first thing before even starting the engine, as the clutch is literally binded together.

Once I got the hang of it, it's just a matter of confidence.

I won't worry anymore if it happens again, as I am now ready to do it, with or without the clutch.

Sift Thru The Remains

STELLAR's clutch totally fails this morning.

The worst thing is, it happens at Besraya toll at Sungai Besi! While queueing!

Lucky I have somehow mastered the sacred art of clutchless gearchange.

But I still need to shut off the engine everytime it's necessary to stop. And I did probably more than two dozen times in the MRR jam near Pandan only.

I am not amused, but on the positive side, its just another learning experience of life I need to sometimes sift through.

My Nokia History

Here's my small Nokia timeline. Believe it or not, I'm quite an afficionado for classic Nokia units. Simply because, they are cheap, and I thought they stood the test of time quite well.

First of all the Nokias was the 3310, bought from my sister in law, it was sold to friend.

Then there was the 3120, my first buy from new. And obviously, it's my most expensive purchase, being 440rm. It went to my brother in law, who's N-type Nokia was broken (ow!)

Then its the 6510, again from sister-in-law, and still going strong.

My second tiny type was the 8310, from brother in law who took the 3120. This phone was regrettably pickpocketed early 2008 at Klang Bus Stand.

To replace the 8310, I got me a 6820, second hand buy. I bought it simply for its cool flip-upward-and turn-90-degree-anticlockwise keyboard. Thinking about selling this one.

The latest was a 2300, which is a damaged unit from my wife. It's repaired just recently, and then given back to her, because her Sony Ericsson was missing in action. Back to square one, eh dear?

Now, the future is yet to come. Which future? The Nokia 9300i or 9500 Communicator. I have been longing for either one. But as usual, no enough dough.

My current collection.

People Phobic

After almost a month, they are still talking about the Election.

The BN especially UMNO divisions everywhere are still pledging alliance to Pak Lah.

And Pak Lah, despite winning, still thinks he lost. And at other time thought he won.

And everybody promises post-mortems, and talks about accountability.

And all the so-called winners are still talking about the winnings of the loose People's Coalition.

When all is done, the one who talks the most reveals the most weakness.

Colonizer Got Colonized

The Dutch boycott is on!

Lucky I have done collecting my Shell Ferraris.

Altogether I have 18 models, including 5 duplicates, which are the 250GTO, the F40, the F50, the 575 GTC and the F430.

I think my son has 3 somewhere in his vast collection of toys.

So, I guess no more Shell. No more Dumex. No more Wall's. And no more God knows what else the Dutch have fed us with.

I think this boy Geert Wilder forgot that his country once colonized my country. For your info, 130 years of ruling.

And sure enough, he is one of those frightened by the idea that Islam itself is colonizing his country now.

Serves them right anyway!

Pressure Cooker Acting Up

STELLAR's been acting up lately.

Sometimes, explosions can be heard under hard acceleration.

I know it's the contact points. Only thing is, the clutter in the engine bay discourages me from doing anything further.

So to the mechanics he go!

And he got a new water pump too.

No wonder he loses water so fast!

Was set back 255. And the ball joints I bought isn't even put into the picture yet.

PS: He's the pressure cooker, coz he cooks cylinder head gasket for sahur.

20080324

Islam Got Annexed

Ponder upon these for a bit.

The Jews have been killing Muslims for 60 years, and they still do.

The American have been killing Muslim for 17 years, this is in Iraq, and I forgot where else. And they still do.

The Russians have been killing Afghan Muslims since 1979. They did stop after 10 years.

What about African Muslims, Thai Muslims, Filipino Muslims, etc etc.

In a simple notion, more Muslims have been killed by non-Muslims than vice-versa.

No wonder!

Bad Hamper

Just back from Kelantan.

It's been a whole-evening drizzle. And a serious one at that, I barely can see the road.

Lucky I replaced the faulty left headlight bulb on the company car. And oiled the very-noisy wiper joints.

The creaks and darkness are cured somewhat.

The works at Kelantan is far from over, but the usual hiccups by other contractors has hampered my side of the job.

Here's hoping more work will came up.

20080315

The In-Word: Accountability

Suddenly, all I heard in the news was this word.

"Accountability."

So now, they are concerned about it? What happened for the last 11 elections?

They enjoyed 11 times of endorsement by the people, and they took it for granted, most of the time, if not all.

And when we won, they all are concerned.

Excuse me, we are NOT YOU!

We don't win so much, so we know how to take the opportunity.

And we will serve the people better, with or without your concerned looks.

I think all they are concerned with are losing that four states they have enjoyed sucking the resources from.

Did they work for the people? I don't think most of them did. In fact, most of them work for themselves and their own people. And the boot is what most of them get, obviously.

To the seemingly winning "losers", I mean the Alternative Alliance, work very2 hard!

Ten Day Labour

Just arrived at Kelantan.

It is just me and my boss for today, but I think he won't be around for long. He planned to head back tomorrow, leaving me working all alone.

I quite like the idea of solitude.

It's been a long hiatus away from working here. I really hoped I won't lose any competency after idling for a long time. Besides, I'll probably be staying here for quite a while.

As I'll be staying alone soon enough, there'll be no issue of expensive hotel to deal with the satisfaction of other colleague. I'll set my own standard. I plan to stay at a budget type hotel instead.

I am feeling nervous already. About the job to be done here.

Lucky I brought some of my hobbies with me. Especially STELLAR Mini, the RC car. And the site area has some of the worst road a rally RC car can imagine.

Hmmmm...

Pure Ecstasy

2.30AM, 9 March 08....

Blogger was down almost the whole night, and still does. So I can't write just yet. But I remember it just fine.

The smell on air was overwhelmingly ecstatic.

At first, we are concerned with how many seats we take over.

Then, it was how many states we take over.

I can feel my body temperature elevating.

++++++++++

5.12AM...

Just woke up to prepare some milk for Muzzammil.

Then I heard the news.

BN FAILS TO GET 2/3 MAJORITY.

... and that sums it all up. It's worth all the wait since 1990.

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!

**********

Election Summary

BA Parliament seats = 82
BA State seats = 198

So Macgyver

My hair is cut too short.

Makes my body feel short too. Yes I am short at 167cm.

So I'll make a small vow to have at least some length of hair the next time I brave a haircut.

I even feel bald. And my seemingly chubby face didn't help either.

Yes I am inspired by the simplistic mullet hair of Macgyver, the survival genius. His is non-excessive, and just seem natural enough without being an utter annoyance.

I swear I look better with some mullet hair.

By the way, I am currently repeatedly listening to this video. Listen to it with max volume for best effects. The 80s is still WAY COOL!

20080305

NGV Craze

The election is near.

One thing most imminent after the election will be petrol price.

You either vote for the increase of petrol price, or vote for its decrease.

But, being pessimistic, I opt for the worse.

So I have been asking around for a good NGV installation price.

Currently, the best I have got was 2900RM. And the bonus part is, they have the experience with old cars too.

Will pay them a visit at Batu Caves soon after the election, hoping the installation price won't escalate from the result of the election.

Vanilla Coke?

No more Vanilla Coke for me.

I bought my last can tonight.

I can't imagine drinking another can. It taste too strong for my throat. I literally have difficulties gulping it down.

Lucky I don't get stomachache.

Those are all sugar and chemicals anyway.

The only gaseous drink I'll accept from today onwards will be 100 Plus. For its ion balancing properties, that is.

Satan Gathering

Found a religious article about the nose a few days ago.

It is said that the nose was a concentration center for Satan, when we sleep at night.

They will gather in at great numbers. I think I read in the twenties or more.

No wonder I got runny nose most mornings!

The advice is to suck in water and then blow out immediately. To flush them out. Do that three times.

Must do this every morning.

Now I know why my dad never got respiratory problem.

Scarred

The corporate paintball game went great.

It was my first time. But I enjoyed it.

All in all, everyone competes in 4 games at least, and five games, for the top 4 teams.

I am in the top 4, in fact, my team was number 3. Of 10 teams.

And after 2 hours of waiting, I finally get to finish off the pellets with an exhausting open game.

I think I got hit 9 times, 2 in the face. and others mostly below the waistline.

I actually went straight to the paintball, after the Kuantan trip. Only transit was the office. And I am so tired. But I really pushed myself for this shooting spree.

Must do this again...
