Tuesday Blues

Today is not good. Had runny nose. it's so irritating to say the least.

Got a lighter already. Now to find time to repair my brother (the Mini, of course!).

An SMS last night from a friend told me that her father didn't make it. He died last Sunday of his lung cancer, which spreads to his head. Hopefully his spirit will make it to the blessed lands.

Wifey not yet having any signs to give birth. It's supposedly last night or even today. But thinking that it will have a two-weeks deviation, I just thought it will be a bit later.

Wifey said, that if baby was the earliest to be born on the 1st of January, baby will be a glamour one. Putrajaya Hospital maternity ward, she said, is visited by TV crews every 1st January. Nice huh!

All that non-important stuffs aside, just hoped that my baby is well and healthy.

You Don't Need A McLaren Anymore

Elo everybody

The title says it all.

With so much lesser dough, you can own a McLaren-beating car for the 0-100mph acceleration.

But in case you need the top speed, just buy the McLaren anyway, and don't even continue reading.

I'm pretty sure that if you read my previous blogs, I've refered you to ZCars. They made such extraordinary or even mind-boggling road-legal vehicles. Based in UK, it's quite difficult to own one of their built machines though.

Go to their website to see how they earn their money.

Basically, to tell you about this machines, it accelerates from 0 to 60mph (98kmh) in 3.11 seconds, and 0 to 100mph (161kmh) in 6.8 seconds. If that's not breathtaking enough for most of you, I don't know what would. At such price, it's a steal!

Personally though, at 15k UK pounds, I would rather have a slower but manageable Mini, with a mildly modified VTEC engine. It should be much cheaper.

Bike Engines And Explosions

The need to come to office came about yesterday morning. I was relaxing, when my PM (project manager hahaha) called and told me that I need to standby to go to Paka for aftersales service of a project there. Lost my mood straight away, thinking about my wife, and our baby who should be due the same week.

Came to office today. Browsed first thing in the morning to relax. Searched for Tunguska river after reading about an email from a Russian. The search result found out about the mysterious explosion I've been intrigued about all my life.

On the other hand, have you ever heard about a VTEC-engined Mini? Or maybe, one with a Rover 3.9l V8? Or maybe, with a Vauxhall/Opel? Here's one food for thought. ZCars Co. modify and fit bike engines to Minis like a treat, and with a heavy price too. Ever thought of spending at least £8500 for them to do this? Somebody was reported to pay £30,000 for his twin bike-engined Mini, with Yamaha R1 engines! Compared to mine? I've only ever thought of fitting a VTEC at most, but not a bike engine!

Cyber Story

ello

I'm in a cyber cafe in UPM area. Tried to find one in Putrajaya, to no avail. The one supposedly in Precinct 8 was closed, I think. So off to UPM I went, assuming there will be one CC here.

I was supposed to check my email for anybody who won my bidding in Lelong.com. It was my old mobile phone, the Alcatel One Touch 511. Last night when I looked at it, I was quite touched, as it has quite a sentimental value on me. It was a birthday gift from my girlfriend, who's now somebody higher in status. :-D

Then I browsed through an email by Webshots. When I saw the winter pix, I imagined my life in USA the last 6 years ago.

I miss my USA days. The wintertime, the summertime, the springtime. All those memories. And most memorably, my long hair!

Creating Melodies

I found out that as a drummer, I can easily create melodies that corresponds to the current drum tracks that I mentally play while driving or working. The melodies are usually for guitars but some bass melodies can be around the drums too. As easy as creating it, I can easily forget it too. Ohh my memory.

Now one thing for sure, I simply can't do the lyrics. Somebody did ask whether I want the "lyrics" from her department, but I'm not rushing into lyric composing or choosing just yet. I should prioritize on the melody first.

But then, I could never read music. I only play by ear. Thus, guitars are out, and basses are out too. Keys? Not a chance! As for me, drums are my musical life. Vocals are secondary. I may hum the guitar or bass parts, but it needs to be played by somebody else. In this case, I have my guitarplayers.

By the way, returning the Jackson RR-3 Guitar back to the shop for the Rogue LX200 Bass WAS THE WORST THING that I've ever done! I should've kept the guitar!

I still regretted that decision 7 years later, which is now. Shoulda kept my hero's axe!

Resolution

In short, here's a resolution from somebody.

To take good care of my newborn
To spend money wisely
To do business wholeheartedly
To be somebody wiser and nicer
To spend more time reading than watching
To have a go at repairing cars
To be better in work management and execution

That's all folks. Thank you and good night!

I Was Caught Air Drumming Again!

Elo there

I feel my drumming bug has attacked again! I kept air-drumming everytime I play an MP3 song of my personal collection. Those rocking ones are the ones to blame. It's so infectious that I need to just control myself from lifting my whole arm section up and beats down without a stick.

Met with Ravi last night. He's one of our fellow subcontractor in a project in Terengganu. Being a car techie, he taught me how to force start my car. First, unscrew the sparkplugs, and burn the tips until it's hot enough, then replug them inside the cylinder head. Then with your foot firmly in pedal-to-the-metal position, start the car. The carb should be expected to fully open its butterfly choke. It should start. Oh well, that's the theory anyway.

Feel i should do it this evening. There's stuffs needed to be sent back to USJ for my parents, and my parents-in-law are waiting in Seremban for our arrival.

Can't wait for my baby to arrive. It's almost time for its delivery. I'm close to being a daddy!

Baby: Uwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa....

Di...

Di kala ini
Di siang ini
Di Pasar Seni
Aku teringatkanmu

Di hening ini
Pemandangan berseri
Di kala kelaparan ini
Aku teringatkanmu

Lelaki dan wanita
Persahabatan dan perkasihan
Kebahagiaan dan derita
Aku teringatkanmu

Segalanya mungkin
Kata orang masakini
Tapi tak mungkin
Aku melupakanmu

Di kala ini
Segalanya berlalu
Kuteringat segalanya
Aku teringatkanmu

The Eighties

I love the 80s. The TV, the environment, the school, my old house, my neighbours, my friends etc..

The best TV era was the 80s. You have all the fantasy program available on earth. There was Knight Rider, Streethawk, Transformers, Go-Bots, BJ And The Bear, MacGyver, Tosho Deimos, Voltron, Starfleet etc. It seems that the tv was everything at that time for a kid like me.

Some of the things I remember back at school was, getting a first place in class academically. That was in 1987.

Also, one thing to note was, I peed in my pants when I was 7, only a few days of beginning school. I am not sure where should I do it. I just sat there and let it out. Fortunately, nobody seems to notice, and I managed to get up after 10 minutes and went back to class. I was lucky. That was the first and the last time.

I also remember that I joined a religious primary school at Bangsar. There, I got to know some of my friends from Bangsar, who happened to still remember me.

I remember being bullied by some friends I know, which I fought against and ran away from. Later I saw myself calling out "Bully!" when we get to meet them as loud as I can. I could say that I bullied them back. We never saw them at school again.

I remember the first time I heard a rock band play. Def Leppard it was! That was in 1988, and it's their fourth album Hysteria, produced in 1987, which didn't sell until 1988 that is! It's been 16 years since, and I still liked this album. "Hey But Are You Gettin' It, Armageddon It, You Really Gettin' It, Yes Armageddon It, C'mon Get It". What a rhyme...

I remember refusing to join a religious high school because most of my school peers are going to Victoria Institution instead. I couldn't stand being apart from my peers. But finally I bowed to parental pressure. I accepted SAMER. And it sure could be quite a good choice I made after all. I found some of my friends back again.

All in all, nothing in the 80s is to be forgotten. It's cherished and remembered like all that memory permits.

More about the 80s soon!

Website Blues

I finally reviewed my website last night. And today, I'm going to do something about it. It has not been updated ever since year 2000!

The first thing to do, is the biodata page. Well, this time, I wrote a more mature biodata. After all, the last time I updated it was in 1998.

The second one is the introduction page, which basically tells something about my life on the net.

Then the greetings page.

I think I totally lost my creative side. Not like 5 years ago. Everything seemed to be giving me ideas, ideas and more ideas, just like when I was 13.

Life has to go on anyways.

Bad Crimps

elo there (my copyright aaa that greetings)

Tried to pull the wires out of the lugs, and voila, it happens! It slides out so easily, that the only few ways to do it, will be utilize Pak Syed's folding crimp trick or my own normal both-crimp-on-insulator trick. One crimp on insulator is not adequate enough, so maybe two then.

Lots and lots of books to be arranged at our house's bookcase. Too many books are around. I'm so thinking of getting rid of some. Maybe those magazines Truckin', RC Cars, all those that I won't be thinking of doing for another 5 years.

Read about MIVEC 4G92 engines. Wow! They are quite a nice option for performance enthusiast with Proton Wiras. 172 horsepower, 138 feetpound of torque, all that jargon from a 1.6liter twin cam. Nice nice nice.

Asked for a quotation from a supplier for VDO gauges for passenger cars. I was quoted $59 for voltmeter, $56 for oilmeter, $149 for tachometer, and $42 for ammeter, all in Singaporean dollars. Quite OK for its rarity, albeit a bit too high for the tacho. I may put voltmeter and rpm for my Wira, while for my Mini, I might put in more gauge, voltmeter, ammeter, clock, oilmeter. They have not quoted me the clock yet.

Should learn how to use sandpaper too, and maybe to solder. Too much to learn, just to repair my brother!

Later dude.
